Alan Sues was born in Ross, CA (near Sacramento...look at a map) in 1926.

Most of you probably remember him from my days on Rowan and Martin’s “Laugh-In”, which aired on NBC from 1968-1972. But, he started working in theatre and film earlier than that. You can check out those credits by clicking on the link above.

He studied theatre at the Pasadena Playhouse on the GI Bill before he made his Broadway debut in the stage play “Tea and Sympathy”, which had a very successful run. From that, he was able to get more work in stand-up comedy (at Reuben Bleu and Blue Angel, both clubs in Manhattan), worked with Julius Monk, worked in an improv/sketch group with The Mad Show (which led to me being cast in “Laugh-In).

After Laugh-In, he performed in several stage plays, movies, commercials (Peter Pan peanut butter, remember that one?) and did some voice-overs for animated specials.

Thanks for being loyal fans over the years and I hope to keep you, your friends and family (and directors everywhere) laughing.
